Mission to Cyprus

April 2000 - September 2001

Week of July 15, 2001

Nicosia District.

"We had our Zone conference this weekend and so all the missionaries on the island were here along with President and Sister Stone and his two assistants (APs) from Athens."

Street Singing in Old Town.

"Sunday evening we went to Old Town here in Nicosia and did street singing for about an hour. Those who couldn't or wouldn't sing, would stand away from the group and talk to people who
stopped as they went by. Many Books of Mormon were handed out in several languages that evening."

The Road to St. Barnabas.

"Following the Zone conference, the mission president took the
missionaries on a chartered bus trip through the northern part of Cyprus. There wasn't much
to see from the bus, but we did stop at the monastery of St. Barnabus where his tomb is adjacent to that site."

The Long Ride Home

"The missionaries were pretty tired on the way back and Paul had to take a picture of most of them sleeping on the bus."
