Apartment House in Nicosia.

"Our apartment is in a four-story apartment building. We are on the third floor. We have 2 bedrooms, one of which is used as an office."

Kitchen.

"The apartment has a large inefficient kitchen. This is the fifth kitchen I have had to learn to cook in since we sold our house in January 1999. I'm getting pretty good at finding a space for everything."

Living Room with laundry beyond window.

"We have a deck where we hang our clothes out to dry. We have a washing machine in the bathroom that runs similar to what we had in Egypt. It heats its own water and takes about 2 hours to do a load."

"We have lots of traffic that goes by on our street because we are one block away from a main road, and because of so many one-way entrances and exits, people have to come down our street to get where they want to go."
